GNC, Thanks a ton for the comment. I look forward to getting back to doing the TM 6 WODs as part of my training. I have taken on my first 'student' here at work, so I can try out my skills as a Level I trainer with a guy who has NO athletic background. We'll see if I'm a worthy trainer. I'll have to hit you guys up for trainer advice in the future. On the fight, it was a great time, I hope it was worth watching, great opponent, fun night, hope I can come train with you guys out there sometime, seem like a fun crew. Hope I'm not a bother on your site. SS

Okay, I want to do this workout--half of it is practically made for me! I think I'd like to sub downward dog for the thrusters, though. However, my hands are not hanging onto any bars/rings, etc., today. Seriously, does anyone have any advice about glove buying? Or are they all pretty much the same? I managed to catch my reins in the giant gaping holes in my hands about a dozen times yesterday, which led to much screaming and cursing. GNC got called some very creative things yesterday (I realize that he doesn't create the workouts, but he's the one there yelling at me through all the pain, so he generally takes the lion's share of the blame in my subsequent rantings).

And congrats SS! Sounds like you were a rock star!

Oh becca....you were wise. i neosporined my brains out yesterday and made my attempt with today. i was feeling super good with my 130# front squat and then came the skin the cat....i think we have all witnessed my lack of coordination and grace and this exercised proved that yet again. i should have called it quits when i popped my shoulder out of the freaking socket flipping all the way around....but it took until round two when i rolled my ankle landing for me to throw in the towel. :) i suck! thanks for your patience today GNC. I was in a major mood! Shoulda stayed in bed.

I just ran my very 1st half marathon w/ a hangover & ab cramps a couple of wks ago and still met my goal of under 2hrs.YET,I threw up after todays WOD! I think it was a combo of things...pollen & motion sick from skinning the cat perhaps?
