Hey Mike-

I just finished reading CFJ Issue 6 in preparation for a trainer's meeting we are having next week so that I might encourage programming that aligns more with Crossfit goals and philosophy for the gym. Is there anything you would add to that particular article or that I should know about Crossfit programming and splits that wasn't mentioned in the article?

GNC, I think the template they use in that article is a good base line to start from. A couple of things to consider: ensure a back squat strength workout is done once a week, ensure a deadlift strength workout is done at least every 10 days. I would also make tailored training available i.e. endurance or strength. For everyone else following the template will work great and use the warm-up time to work on weaknesses.MP

Hound, good to hear from you. I have been mixing in my own version of CF E over the last month and have had some luck. Month ago I was struggling to break 7 minutes in the mile because of my hip flexor issues, but it is starting to heal up and every week I have been able to make some progress. I suspect with a little more time I'll be back to my old self. Good luck in the 10K and if I can seek off without the mule driver noticing, I'll come by for a visit sometime around thanksgiving.MP

rut ro raggy, I guess I'll be paying for my insolence over thanksgiving. All I ask is that you don't cut the shovel handles in half.
