16 Dec 08
Tuesday
WOD
5 rounds of 5 reps (2-3 minute rest between rounds)
Heaving Snatch Balance

Start with a barbell racked across the back of the shoulders as it would be for a back squat with hands in a Snatch grip. Start with your feet in the catch or landing position. Dip as you would for a Jerk and drive yourself into the bottom of an Overhead Squat, catching with arms locked. Mike, after our last two workout's, I'm beginning to think you dont like us too much. Yesterday was just a brutal WOD, espically coming off a "sick/slack week". And today, well dont you think 5 reps was a little excessive. Trust me 3 would have been plenty.

Wabbit, your stragedy to make me fat and slow just may work. The bread pudding was yummy. This morning after I finished my grilled chicken and eggs, instead of the usual grapefruit or apple, I indulged. Thankyou. Before I feed any to my wife though, I need to know if you used whole milk to make it. Thanks again.

Hound,
It doesn't have whole milk per se, but it does have 5 cups of 1/2 and 1/2 and 3 whole eggs and 8 egg yolks--so it's not exactly what I'd call a health conscious bread pudding. Glad you liked it, though!

Mike, I am in pain--muscles I didn't even know existed are screaming at me every time I take a step, and today I was terrible. I mean awful. GNC can attest--there was dropping of heavy things and weights rolling down my back as they crashed onto the floor and missed cleans trying to pick them up and lots of whining throughout. Ugh. I am really beginning to dread strength days. I don't think I've ever been so bad at something in my life. I managed 2 reps at 85# and a set of the full five at 80#. It was pretty horrible.

H&W, I didn't realize the last couple of days were so bad, but I guess it always sucks comming back from a sick week. Heaving snatch balances require some agility, but I hope you were able to recover some for wednesdays big fun. MP

The Wabbitt exaggerates. She actually unleashed her inner Crossfit ninja today, being the only one to complete all 5 rounds of attempts with fairly decent form. Though I couldn't tell her this at the gym because her head would swell. The part she struggled with was bringing the weight back down, but I think as she begins to unleash her crossfit ninja she has inside, her pain tolerance will go up.

Oh Mike, do you know how many blocks bread pudding is?
